January 2014 Pearlington pistol match results

Well, lets call that a trifecta. Last weekend, Biloxi and Poplarville had perfect weather, and today in Pearlington, it was also perfect weather. I guess that is payback after December rain washed out two of the three matches and drizzled on the third overnight and made the going sloppy. Not today, though. You couldn’t ask for better. That prompted 42 shooters to come out for another round of stimulating stages and camaraderie with some of the nicest people on the coast. It seemed to be a really great match today with lots of comments about it.

The results show that the match winner wasn’t really challenged for the top stop. None of the division matches were close either. All winners had a margin of at least  4% and most were bigger. Congratulations are in order for match winner..Robert Jones, who also won Limited. In Open, Randy Pretlove was tops, and Bryant Willet tore up Production.  Gerald Benton was first in Limited 10, with Joel Senia cleaning up the Single Stack group. And last but not least was Robert Konrady taking the Revolver division.

We had several new shooters today and we thank them for coming out. Hopefully, they found out just how much fun this crazy sport is and will find their way back in the future for more fun. It seemed that the stage teardown went pretty well today, as we had to pack everything into the new Connex box. This will be overall a good thing for the props but it also means we will continue to need this great level of support for picking everything up and moving it back to the box.
