April 2016 Poplarville 3-Gun match reminder
The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association will host the monthly 3-Gun match this Sunday (April 3, 2016) at the range in Poplarville. The match will begin at 9 AM. For details about our 3-gun match, click here.
April is also membership renewal month. For the low cost of only $35, your one year membership gets you a $5 discount on all matches (both pistol and 3-gun), you get access to the range, and most importantly, you help support the club for another year. If we have 49 shooters join for another year, we can cover our lease and insurance costs and devote the rest to improving the range with new props and physical improvements.

Wildcat Shoot – Saturday March 26th
There will be a three stage wildcat fun shoot at CRPC on Saturday, Match 26th at 9am. It will be two steel stages and one USPSA-like stage. Cost is $5.
BPSA March 2016 Match Cancelled
The BPSA March 2016 monthly match scheduled for this Sunday has been cancelled due to Easter.
March 2016 Swamp Eagles Pistol match **Cancelled**
Due to the rain this week, the road up the hill is impassible, so the match has been cancelled! Sorry for the late notice. We had hoped to get in, but we tried this afternoon, and it just won’t work.
March 2016 Swamp Eagles Pistol match notification **New Location**`
Once again, the Swamp Eagles will hold their match in Poplarville. This move is only temporary, until we find a new home range, but it will allow the club to continue shooting our regular schedule.

BPSA April 2016 Multi-Discipline Pistol Match
MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT:
The BPSA April 2016 Multi-Discipline Pistol Match will be held April 30, 2016 at Coast Rifle & Pistol Club near Biloxi, MS.
PRIZE GIVEAWAY:
We will be giving away one reloading starter package valued at $1250 by random draw, to include the following:
– one Dillon 550b reloading press courtesy of Action Shooting Supplies.
– $200 gift certificate for Primers, Powder, etc courtesy of Southern Reloading Supply
– $200 gift certificate for bullets courtesy Black Bullets International.
– One year free membership to Coast Rifle & Pistol club ($400 value with dues plus initiation fees)
ELIGIBILITY:
The match and prize drawing is limited to the first 60 competitors to register and pay.

MATCH FEE: $35
Send payment after registering, once payment is received and confirmed you will be approved to squad. Payment must be received with 14 days of registering or you will be removed from the match. Refunds will be given up to one week prior to the match.
MATCH DETAILS:
The match will be 5 stages similar to our USPSA pistol stages, approx. 150 rounds minimum.
Two stages will be USPSA style.
Two stages will be Pro-Am style falling steel with par time.
One stage will be Steel Challenge style.
Scoring will be USPSA hit factor scoring. Pro-Am stages will be scored as USPSA fixed time stages, and Steel Challenge will be scored as five string stage. There will be no “throw away” string.
We will be using USPSA divisions..

BPSA May 2016 CQB Rifle Match
MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT:
The BPSA May 2016 CQB Rifle Match, sponsored by FN America, will be held May 29th, 2016 at Coast Rifle & Pistol Club near Biloxi, MS.
PRIZE GIVEAWAY:
We will be giving away one FN 15 Sporting rifle (MSRP $1,749) by random draw at the conclusion of the match, courtesy of FN America and Dave Sevigny.
ELIGIBILITY:
The match and prize drawing is limited to the first 60 competitors to register and pay.

MATCH DETAILS:
The match will be 5 stages similar to our USPSA pistol stages, only we will be shooting them with rifles. Scoring will be Time Plus with Points.
.223/5.56/.308/22LR and pistol caliber carbines welcome.
We will have two divisions, centerfire rifle and 22LR.
We recommend an AR style rifle with 30+ round magazine.
There will be no mandatory reloads, and stages will not require more than 30 rounds, so minimal gear is needed to compete.
Just show up with a rifle, a 30 or 40 round magazine, ammo, and of course eye and ear protection and you will be good to go.
Recommend 150 rounds, bring more if you plan on missing.

March 2016 Poplarville pistol match CANCELLED!
The March 2016 USPSA pistol match of the South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association (SMPSA) has been cancelled. Unfortunately both Wayne and Bill will be unavailable this weekend, and these things don’t put themselves together. We apologize for the short notice and the inability to have the match. We hope to see everyone the following Sunday at the temporarily relocated Pearlington Swamp Eagles match, which is once again, visiting our range while they look for a new home.
March 2016 Poplarville 3-Gun match results
Another fine weather day brought another fine match. This month, nineteen shooters tested their skills on the 3-gun field of battle and found that even a bad stage now and then isn’t too bad when you’re outside on such a nice day, going head to head for bragging right with your favorite shooting crew.
