August 2018 Poplarville USPSA Pistol match reminder
The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association will host the monthly USPSA Pistol match on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the range in Poplarville. The match will begin at 9 AM. We have scheduled 6 stages, including one classifier (CM13-03). This will be the same match we tried to shoot twice in July but were rained out both times. The stages can be found here.

July 2018 Biloxi (DSSA) pistol match results *Correction*
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any hotter, it did. Today was brutal. If you stayed home, you did miss some great stages, but it was not pleasant shooting. A total of 54 shooters tried to beat the heat with blazing times and all alphas, but it was a challenge.
Your old stats guy seemed to be a bit challenged today and we had some minor scoring issues at the start of the match, but once we edited the stages, it seemed to run OK. The scores came in and the final results revealed a rare weekend sweep. Read more…
July Brothers N Arms USPSA Pistol Match Results
Well, we finally caught a break with the weather! The rain we received earlier in the week was not enough to ruin the range conditions and, while it was still a hot day, overcast skies and a decent breeze kept it very bearable. We had 40 shooters in attendance to shoot five fast-paced stages, including a deceptively difficult classifier that seemed to give a lot of folks trouble (including me!). Thanks to all of the outstanding help with setup and teardown, most everyone was finished up before noon. We can’t tell you how much your efforts are appreciated!
Today’s “burn ’em down” type stages definitely favored the Open shooters, with the top four spots going to that division. At the end of the day, however, there was one very clear winner. Read more…
USPSA-Style Movement Course in New Orleans
Are you looking to up your game to the next level? Have you taken several shooting classes, but still wonder why you aren’t crushing your buddies? Maybe it’s not your shooting, maybe you just don’t know how to move through a stage as efficiently as the top shooters.
In September of 2018, you will have the chance to take a class from Kita Busse, a recognized expert in movement training for action shooting. The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association will shoot a makeup match on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the range in Poplarville. The match will begin at 9 AM.

July 2018 Biloxi USPSA pistol match
Registration is open for the July edition of the Deep South Shooters Association monthly USPSA pistol match. The match will take place at the Coast Rifle and Pistol Club in Biloxi on July 22, 2018. Shooting begins at 9 AM. Please arrive no later than 8:30 AM.
Juniors shoot for free, CPRC members shoot for $15, all others shoot for $20.

July Brothers N Arms USPSA Match
Registration is open for the July USPSA Pistol Match at the Brothers N Arms Range in Hattiesburg this Saturday, July 21st. This month’s event will have at least 5 stages, including a classifier.
Primary setup will take place this Thursday afternoon. If you are available to help, please reach out to Justin Greene with Brothers N Arms for details. Final setup starts at 7:00 am Saturday morning and all hands are welcome to help speed up the process. Registration/check-in ends at 8:30 am. No walk-ons after 8:30, no exceptions. There will be a new shooters meeting at 8:30 and a mandatory safety meeting at 8:45. The match starts promptly at 9:00 am.
Payment will be due upon arrival. If you are a member of the Brothers N Arms USPSA Chapter, $15 will be due. Otherwise, the entry fee is $20. To register, just click here.
July 2018 Poplarville USPSA Pistol match **CANCELLED*
The match in Poplarville has been cancelled, due to heavy rain on Saturday afternoon. The range got heavy rain last night, and was accessible only with 4WD today for setup, but the rain washed that away.
We MAY reschedule the match for next Sunday, but I have to work out a few things first. Sorry…
