May 2015 Poplarville pistol match results
The annual Mother’s Day match is always hit or miss. Those brave enough to sneak out and ignore Mom and/or the wife can expect to pay later on. Those that choose to honor that special woman often miss a good match. Today was one of those good ones. Although we had only 12 shooters, we had five great stages. With only one squad, we zipped through and were done shooting and tearing down by about 12:15 PM. Oh, yeah. Summer has arrived.

This month we had 47 shooters and a great match. The weather was perfect. Thanks to everyone who pre-registered and made the match signup go smoothly.
We would like to thank everyone who came out today and I want to especially thank everyone who helped break down. We appreciate it more than you can ever imagine.

May 2015 Pearlington (Swamp Eagles) pistol match results

It was the first Sunday and not the third, and there was competition in Poplarville with their 3-gun, but the Swamp Eagles managed to get 31 shooters to come out for the match. Since our usual third Sunday will be taken up by the Mississippi Classic, we move the May match to the first Sunday.

May 2015 Poplarville 3-gun match results *Finally*
The match scores have been fixed and the final results are posted. The mix-up occurred when one of the squads recorded several of their stages on the wrong stage. Anyway, it has been fixed and the results are only slightly changed from the scores distributed at the match.
The turnout was good with sixteen shooter overall. The weather was the star of the day with clear skies finally gracing match day. We had several new shooters and they did great. We also want to thank the shooters who renewed their membership to the club. Your membership is the only reason we can continue to shoot. We really appreciate your financial support.
Our overall winner was someone new to the podium. Without winning a single stage, but shooting consistently enough to take the top spot, the honors go to Read more…
May 2015 Swamp Eagle Pistol match results
The match is done, but it will be a day or so before I get he scores posted. Due to the Poplarville 3-gun match and the issues with that, it will be a while before I get Pearlington posted. Check back in a day or so.

We discovered a problem with the scores. Squad 1 accidentally recorded 3 of the 4 stages on the wrong stages in the scoring computer. I think I figured out what happened, but it will take a while to fix it. So, please check back later for the real results.
May 2015 Poplarville 3-gun match reminder
Our last 3-gun match of the first half of the year will be held tomorrow, Sunday, May 3, 2015. Hammer drops at 9 AM. There will be four stages with some long distance rifle shooting. Bring a couple of slugs, a couple of boxes of birdshot and the usual contingent of rifle and pistol ammo.
