June Brothers N Arms USPSA Pistol Match Results
Well, we finally got June’s match in the books. Thirty-three heat-resistant competitors came out for a great match while simultaneously enjoying the benefits of a natural sauna, courtesy of June in South Mississippi. Once again, Justin Green came through with great stages that challenged and pleased everyone. We had outstanding help in set up, but especially with take down. Many of you took down not just your last stage, but stayed to help with the others as well. Outstanding! On to the match results. Read more…
Game on!!
I’ve had a couple of folks inquire about the weather and if the match was still scheduled or not. It is on, folks. The forecast is improving (for whatever that’s worth), the stages are set, my gun is clean, and mags are loaded. We’re good to go, bud, good to go.
If we should get a gully washer, chunk floater, toad strangler type of event during the night, I will update the blog before 6 am as to our intentions. Other than that, ya’ll come on out, ya hear now!
Reminder – June Brothers N Arms USPSA Match Is Rescheduled
Just a quick reminder that Brothers N Arms is holding the June match this coming Saturday, June 30th. We know that Saturday is the beginning of a family holiday for a lot of you. We will have water available, so whether you bring your own drinks or use ours, stay hydrated!

June 2018 Biloxi (DSSA) pistol match results
The first true Summer match lived up to the expectations for weather. No, not that kind. We didn’t get a drop of rain but we got several inches of HOT. It was unpleasant, to say the least. Not the shooting, that part was great, it was the insanely hot weather. Once in a while, a cloud would provide a brief respite, but the Sun always came back.
Sixty shooters were brave enough to risk heat stroke to shoot six great stages today. We had two classifiers today (both were quick), while the other four featured tough shots, lots of cover and stepped up the challenge just a bit. We have vowed not to get locked back into the open-target hoser-fests of days gone by. They just don’t prepare you for much of anything.
Without further ado, lets see who won. First overall and first Open was Read more…
June Brothers n Arms USPSA Match has Been Rescheduled
Well, way too much faith was put into the weather guessers’ opinion and Saturday actually turned out to be what would have been a great day to have a pistol match. Hard to believe we put so much trust into such an uncertain science.
Since the Brother N Arms range will host a Steel Challenge match next weekend on the 23rd, the decision has been made to hold our make-up match on Saturday, June 30th. Registration is open, just click here.
June Brothers N Arms USPSA Match Update
Due to rain received today and the strong chance of more rain tomorrow during match hours, the June Brothers N Arms USPSA match has been cancelled. We are looking into the possibility of rescheduling sometime in July.

June 2018 Poplarville pistol match results
It was HOT, HOT, HOT today but that didn’t stop 43 determined, if slightly crazy, shooters from enjoying one of the more challenging matches in a long time at the range in Poplarville. We were in Summer mode, even through it isn’t officially Summer yet, and that meant no steel, and not too much running. But that didn’t mean it wasn’t hard. As it turned out, every single target in the match today had either a no-shoot partially covering it or a portion of the target painted with hard cover. There weren’t any real hoser stages, much less any hoser targets. You had to at least aim a bit on every target. There were lots of black and white pasters in use today.
We had a tiny problem at the end of the match. The overly aggressive tear-down crew dismantled the classifier before the last squad got to shoot it. Fortunately, it only took a few minutes to set it back up, so everyone got to enjoy a miserable classifier. I’m sorry I picked that one and I won’t do it ever again! The highest score in the match was a decent A class score but it was from a GM Limited shooter. A few did well for their classification, but most didn’t. Hopefully, if you weren’t one of the lucky ones, you tanked it bad enough not to hurt your own classification.
When it comes to the overall scores, we had a return to the top spot for Read more…
June 2018 Poplarville USPSA Pistol match UPDATE!
A few quick notes about tomorrow’s match in Poplarville.
- It will be hot. We will have some bottled water available, but make sure you stay hydrated. The pop-up tents will be in use.
- The stages will not require a great deal of movement (think Mississippi Classic, not).
- There will be NO completely open targets, but there will be lots of black and white pasters available in your buckets.
- This will be called the Jack Bauer Invitational match. You’ll find out what that means tomorrow.
- We expect a big crowd, and those that arrive late should plan on parking up on top of the hill before you enter the pit.
- The classifier will be 99-40
There are still slots left in the match so if you just have to find out why Jack Bauer is involved, then sign up and come on out!
