SMPSA (Poplarville)

UPSPA Pistol

Pistol matches are held on the second Sunday of each month, starting at 9 AM.

Shotgun/Rifle

A separate match is held every month right after the pistol match (of course this means on the same day as the pistol match…). For the odd months (January =1, March = 3, etc.), the second match is shotgun. On the even months (February=2, April=4, etc.) the second match is rifle.

The shotgun and rifle matches are conducted using 3-Gun rules. You may shoot the afternoon match without shooting the pistol match, and you do not have to shoot the afternoon match to compete in the pistol match. The morning match and the afternoon match are separate from each other.

3-Gun

During the non-Summer months (from September to May, normally) , a 3-Gun match is held on the first Sunday of each month. Rules and scoring generally follow IMGA rules, but with local variations. Refer to the 3-gun page for more information.

Night match

During the Summer, we also hold night matches. They consist of pistol and rifle stages shot after the Sun goes down. Sometimes, a flashlight is used, sometimes not. Check back with the schedule for the next night match.
