April 2019 Biloxi (DSSA) pistol match results
Today was about as good as it gets, weather-wise. The temperature was mild, the sun was out and the humidity was low (for us…). The turnout was also great with 57 shooters actually shooting the match. We had reached as high as 72 at one point during the registration period, but there is always a certain percentage of no-shows for any match. It was a good number, and for the most part, things went smoothly. There was a bit of an imbalance in the stages that caused some backups, but hey, it was a nice day!
Once again, the Henn design team outdid themselves with some fun, but really technically challenging stages today. Only one person managed to shoot the match clean. However, the overall match winner discovered that you can actually shoot fast enough to make up for your mistakes. The overall match winner was 9 seconds (total time) faster than the shooter who came in second (and 5 seconds ahead of the next fastest shooter). That was good for about 10% right there.

April 2019 Poplarville USPSA Pistol match **CANCELLED**
The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association USPSA Pistol match scheduled for April 14, 2019 has been cancelled, due to your match director being out of town on that weekend for the Area 6 match. I may try to make this match up at a later date but the following Sunday is Easter and that’s usually a tough day to make for some. I may try for an afternoon match like we did last year, but I haven’t decided yet.
Regardless, the normal second Sunday match in April will not be shot on April 14.
