Brothers N Arms March Match Cancellation
My apologies if this is a duplicate notification, but I have received notice that not everyone received the email I sent earlier today. Due to the prodigious amount of rain both received today and expected tomorrow, the Brothers N Arms USPSA March Pistol match is cancelled. We look forward to seeing you at the inaugural Steel Challenge match that will be held on the 5th Saturday this month and at the USPSA match next month.
Brothers N Arms March Match Update
Well folks, I just came up for air and realized that our match had run out of room. A good problem to have, to be sure! I have opened up more slots so if you know anyone that tried to register today and couldn’t, please let them know that they should try again.
On another topic, the weather forecast for Friday is something slightly less than ominous regarding the chance of rain. Know that we are watching this closely and will let everyone know our intentions for the match as soon as practical.

February Brothers N Arms USPSA Pistol Match Results
I’ll have to look back to make sure, but I do believe we set an attendance record at yesterday’s match! At one point, we had 78 shooters registered. Once hammers fell at 9:00, we had 66 competitors take to the field on what turned out to one of the nicest days we have had around here in awhile. While the classifier, Take Your Choice, appeared quite simple and straightforward, the combination of a barricade and a reload proved to be more challenging than many expected. Five squads worked their way through the other five challenging stages designed and built by our very own Justin Green, one of the owners of the Brothers N Arms Range. Thanks for the great work, Justin, I’ve had a lot of positive comments!
We had a great turn out from new shooters and were very pleased to have them. One reminder, though. If you were a new shooter and did not have your USPSA member number in time for the match yesterday, you will need to send it to me once you do have it. I can then re-submit the scores to USPSA so that yesterday’s classifier will count towards your classification.
At the end of the day one shooter stood above the rest both overall and in the Open division. Read more…

January Brothers N Arms USPSA Pistol Match Results
After a week of winter weather colder than North Dakota had this week, today saw a return to a more normal South Mississippi. Other than a couple of bays that were still pretty slushy and muddy from the snow, the range condition was great with temperatures that were mild and wind that was cooperative for the most part. Forty eight shooters took advantage of the mild environment and showed up for 5 stages with a great mixture of paper, steel, no-shoots, and hard-cover. Today very clearly favored the mental shooter!
We’ve had some close finishes in the past, but I think today’s top two shooters beat anything I’ve seen before. They were from different divisions, both of which they each won very handily. But at the end of the day, Read more…

December Brothers N Arms USPSA Pistol Match Results
Baby, it was cold outside!!
The clouds kept things pretty chilly right up til the very end of today’s match, but 39 shooters still came out and by all accounts, a great time was had by all! Registration actually got close to 60 shooters at one point, but it looks like the flu is everywhere, judging by the number of withdrawals due to illness. The six stages moved well and provided a good mix of fast movement and strategy. The classifier, Down the Middle, proved to be challenging for most, with a total of 25 shooters having one or more Mikes. At the end of the day, though, one shooter stood head and shoulders above the rest! Read more…

Brothers N Arms November USPSA Match Results
The day dawned clear and cool, and while the clouds threatened rain for part of today’s match, the real weather challenge turned out to be the wind as this front moved in. It blew down targets, walls, steel, even a whole bank of barrels at one point. But it didn’t stop 40 shooters from having a great day at the Brothers N Arms range today. The stages were nice and big, with lots of movement and a good round count. I think everyone found something in the mix to be challenging today! A big thanks to the Dupuy family again for all of their help with set up during the week and to all the great shooters that helped with final set up this morning and with tear down.
The battle for second overall was simply phenomenal, with Read more…
