December 2015 Poplarville 3-Gun match results
After losing both the 3-Gun and USPSA pistol in November to rain, today was just about perfect, weather-wise. Unfortunately, only nine shooters thought it was good enough to actually come out and shoot. But all of them had a great time. There were four great stages, highlighted by the shotgun extravaganza, also known as Stage 2.
At the end of the match, there was just one man left standing. He won three of the four stages, and the overall match. The honors today go to Read more…

Today was an interesting match. We had 9 brand new shooters today, which is much more than normal, and no one got DQ’ed or accidentally shot, which is good. Quite a few regulars shot different guns than they normally do, and the results mostly don’t look normal. But, other than that, it was just a typical day in Pearlington. The weather was very pleasant, the shooting was great and Tom was still having a fine time vacationing in Mexico.
The top of the leader board isn’t much of a surprise, but several divisions are sporting first time winners. The overall match winner and Open winner was Read more…

October 2015 Pearlington (Swamp Eagles) pistol match results

Sometimes, things just go right. Today, we set a record for shooter count in Pearlington. The great weather, no Saints game and the last practice match before the Gator all combined to get 65 shooters out today. There were a few brand new shooters, and we thank you for coming and hope you will return. The idea today was to be a little more challenging than normal. Several of the regulars had shot the Nationals the week before and discovered that we don’t set up stages that are challenging enough. So, today, we kinda pushed it a bit more towards the hard side. The only downside today was the bottleneck that developed around the classifier which resulted in several squads having to wait to shoot there.
When the dust settled and the last scores were counted, there was a relatively new name at the top of the leader board. The overall winner (for the second month in a row) and Open division winner was Read more…
