June 2013 Pearlington pistol match results
The weather turned really hot all of a sudden, so we shot only 4 stages today. We finished shortly after Noon which made it a little better. Today was also our first match with electronic scoring on all stages. It went off without a hitch (mostly) and enabled us to be done with the scores shortly after the last shot went off.
Our match winner today was…Max Michel, who also took Open division. Robert Jones easily won Limited and was second overall. Jonathan Jones won Production over a field of nine, while Robert Coil and Danny Milan won Limited 10 and Revolver respectively. Steven Lasavia shot exceptionally well in Single Stack and was fourth overall in the match.
This month’s match was not without its drama. We were only able to set up two stages on Saturday, so we had to scramble on Sunday morning. But we did get it off pretty much on time. We will get better with the Nook scoring as we get accustomed to how it works. And as always, we appreciate the help in tearing down the stages and packing everything up. A special thanks for to Randy and Winston for helping with the setup on Saturday.
