South Mississippi Practical Shooting

MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT:

The BPSA April 2016 Multi-Discipline Pistol Match will be held April 30, 2016 at Coast Rifle & Pistol Club near Biloxi, MS.

PRIZE GIVEAWAY:

We will be giving away one reloading starter package valued at $1250 by random draw, to include the following:

– one Dillon 550b reloading press courtesy of Action Shooting Supplies.
– $200 gift certificate for Primers, Powder, etc courtesy of Southern Reloading Supply
– $200 gift certificate for bullets courtesy Black Bullets International.
– One year free membership to Coast Rifle & Pistol club ($400 value with dues plus initiation fees)

ELIGIBILITY:

The match and prize drawing is limited to the first 60 competitors to register and pay.

MATCH FEE: $35

Send payment after registering, once payment is received and confirmed you will be approved to squad. Payment must be received with 14 days of registering or you will be removed from the match. Refunds will be given up to one week prior to the match.

MATCH DETAILS:

The match will be 5 stages similar to our USPSA pistol stages, approx. 150 rounds minimum.

Two stages will be USPSA style.
Two stages will be Pro-Am style falling steel with par time.
One stage will be Steel Challenge style.

Scoring will be USPSA hit factor scoring. Pro-Am stages will be scored as USPSA fixed time stages, and Steel Challenge will be scored as five string stage. There will be no “throw away” string.

We will be using USPSA divisions..

PRIZE GIVEAWAY:
We will be giving away one FN 15 Sporting rifle (MSRP $1,749) by random draw at the conclusion of the match, courtesy of FN America and Dave Sevigny.

ELIGIBILITY:

MATCH DETAILS:
The match will be 5 stages similar to our USPSA pistol stages, only we will be shooting them with rifles. Scoring will be Time Plus with Points.

.223/5.56/.308/22LR and pistol caliber carbines welcome.

We will have two divisions, centerfire rifle and 22LR.

We recommend an AR style rifle with 30+ round magazine.

There will be no mandatory reloads, and stages will not require more than 30 rounds, so minimal gear is needed to compete.

Just show up with a rifle, a 30 or 40 round magazine, ammo, and of course eye and ear protection and you will be good to go.

Recommend 150 rounds, bring more if you plan on missing.

This month we had 60 shooters come out to shoot and five pretty challenging stages.  Thanks to everyone who pre-registered and made the match signup go smoothly.  It really does make a difference when you pre-register.

We would also like to thank everyone who came out today and I want to especially thank everyone who helped setup and break down. We really appreciate it.
