There’s a new USPSA club in South Mississippi
The South Mississippi Practical Shooting (SMSPS) web site is pleased to welcome Mississippi’s newest USPSA club (MS17) to our home. The Brothers-N-Arms (BNA) club will be shooting a USPSA sanctioned match every fourth Saturday at their range in Hattiesburg, MS. Match fees are only $15 for BNA club members and $20 for non-members. The matches will consist of 5 stages, including a classifier.
The first match will be April 23, 2016. Registration will be held at the range only, at least at first. For directions to the range, click here. For more information about this new club, click here. April 2016 Swamp Eagles Pistol match notification
For at least one more month, the Swamp Eagles will hold their match in Poplarville. This move is only temporary, until we find a new home range, but it will allow the club to continue shooting our regular schedule.

It was a great day in Poplarville. Thirty-two shooters came to enjoy the nice weather and the great stages. We had 4 squads and 6 stages and things moved along well. As usual, the stages were challenging, but fun.

The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association will host the monthly USPSA Pistol match this Sunday (April 10, 2016) at the range in Poplarville. The match will begin at 9 AM.

The South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association will host the monthly 3-Gun match this Sunday (April 3, 2016) at the range in Poplarville. The match will begin at 9 AM. For details about our 3-gun match, click here.
April is also membership renewal month. For the low cost of only $35, your one year membership gets you a $5 discount on all matches (both pistol and 3-gun), you get access to the range, and most importantly, you help support the club for another year. If we have 49 shooters join for another year, we can cover our lease and insurance costs and devote the rest to improving the range with new props and physical improvements.

March 2016 Swamp Eagles Pistol match **Cancelled**
Due to the rain this week, the road up the hill is impassible, so the match has been cancelled! Sorry for the late notice. We had hoped to get in, but we tried this afternoon, and it just won’t work.

March 2016 Poplarville pistol match CANCELLED!
The March 2016 USPSA pistol match of the South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association (SMPSA) has been cancelled. Unfortunately both Wayne and Bill will be unavailable this weekend, and these things don’t put themselves together. We apologize for the short notice and the inability to have the match. We hope to see everyone the following Sunday at the temporarily relocated Pearlington Swamp Eagles match, which is once again, visiting our range while they look for a new home.
March 2016 Poplarville 3-Gun match results
Another fine weather day brought another fine match. This month, nineteen shooters tested their skills on the 3-gun field of battle and found that even a bad stage now and then isn’t too bad when you’re outside on such a nice day, going head to head for bragging right with your favorite shooting crew.
