January 2015 Poplarville pistol match results

Dawson PrecisionThe weather could have been a lot worse. It could have been cold, like Biloxi was yesterday, and it could have rained like it was predicted to do. But neither happened and we were done in record time. With five quick, but challenging stages, we zipped through the match and were done shooting by 11 AM. We had an even dozen shooters and the two squads moved quickly.

The results weren’t all that surprising, but there seems to be a pattern developing. With his second match win of the weekend,

John Nguyen has become king of the hill. He won Open and was high overall. It was the same on Saturday in Biloxi. In Production, the battle of the Masters was won by Bo Gray. Limited was taken by Nick Saucier, who finally managed to get his gun running reliably.

Special thanks go today to Wayne, who was unable to shoot but still came out to set up two stages. Thanks also to Tom who brought the trailer with the barrels. We also got things picked up and were done with everything by 11:15 AM. As it turned out, we never saw the rain, which was just fine. Let’s hope we can get a better turnout for next month.
