New features

Thank you for checking out the new website. Below, I have highlighted some of the great new capabilities of this entirely new site.

  • Click the Home icon at the left end of the menu to see the latest posts on all topics for both clubs.
  • Click the Match News and then select the desired club for the latest match news.
  • Click the Match Results and then select the desired club for the match results.
  • The Schedule is now managed in a Google Calendar, which can be viewed here or even shared on your mobile device.
  • Directions now feature Google maps which will let you get directions from anywhere to the appropriate range. This will be great for first-time shooters who have never been to the ranges.
  • Getting Started is where to send those new shooters who have questions about what it takes to compete.

  • Sign up to follow this site and you will be notified by email whenever something is posted. Get notified when the match results are posted, as soon as it happens. Click on the “Follow Blog via Email” at the right to sign up.

On the right hand side of the page, you can find useful links and information that is available on almost every single page. They include:

  • A search form to find any key word(s) on the website.
  • A quick snapshot of the next matches on the schedule.
  • Links to find posts by date and category
  • A link to USPSA’s website

In the past, the website has been information only. Now, you can comment on posts and match results. Feel free to use this ability to let us know how we are doing.

Match scores:

In the past, we have posted the plain text results of the matches. Now, along with a link to the results, there is a table, summarizing the division winners for each match of the calendar year. This way, you can see who the best shooters are in your division at a glance. Click here for an example of this.

Also, the past several years match scores will be posted here, in case you were interested. They will be posted as time permits. As of this post, the 2011 scores have been posted here.

Thank you Bill. The Poplarville match set-up, and follow-up are enough to keep you slammed. I don’t know how you find the time to giterdone but we genuinely appreciate your hard work.
Tom’s Pearlington match is a handful too, so the time and effort you put into that deal, posting results and follow-up is definitely welcomed/needed.
Streamlining the two local matches in a common website is the best for all.
GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS in 2012!!!
