South Mississippi Practical Shooting

The October edition of the Pearlington pistol match will be held next Sunday at the range. If you aren’t doing anything on Saturday afternoon, then please consider coming out around 3 PM to help us set up for the match. It doesn’t take very long and any help would not only be appreciated, but also earns you a $5 credit on your Sunday match fee. Where can you get a deal like this?

Tomorrow is the monthly USPSA match in Poplarville. The match starts are 9 AM. We are planning on shooting a separate shotgun match after the pistol match.

After a brief break for the heat, 3-gun action returns to the Poplarville range on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Bring your favorite 3 guns and join us for a day of great shooting and challenging stages.

On August 25, 2012, the Poplarville club will hold a night match at the range in Poplarville, MS. This will consist of rifle and pistol stages. NOTE, this is NOT a beginners match. If you have not shot pistol and rifle matches before, it is not the time to learn or try it out.

If you want to learn about 3-gun, our next match will be September 2, 2012 at the Poplarville range.

This night match will require shooting in the dark, both with and without illumination. Bring weapons mounted lights if you have them, or at least a hand-held tactical flashlight. Almost anything is allowed, other than Open class guns.

Sadly, the rains came and washed away the match before it ever started. Maybe next month…

We will hold the monthly USPSA pistol match on Sunday, May 12, 2012 at the range in Poplarville. The weather is threatening to be bad, so please check back on Sunday morning in case there is a weather cancellation. If you do not hear otherwise, the match will be on.

The normally scheduled Second Sunday USPSA match in Poplarville falls on Easter Sunday this year. So, we are cancelling the match. We will not reschedule this match for another date.
