We want to thank everyone that came last month for our inaugural match. Everyone has agreed it was a success and the upcoming match this Saturday is looking just as good, if not even better. What a great way to kick off your Memorial Day weekend!

Cost is $15 for Brothers N Arms members and $20 for non-members. There will be six stages, including a classifier, with the Match Director promising a much higher round count with more steel and props than last month. Swamp Eagles suspend future matches

May 15, 2016 Leave a comment

ActionShooting Supply iconAs most everyone knows, Tom’s match (aka. Pearlington, Swamp Eagles, etc.) lost it’s home range in February of this year. For the past four months the match has been shot at the Poplarville range, and although a search is still underway for a new home, Tom has decided to suspend further matches. While the club is not going away just yet, Tom is also considering selling the entire match to anyone that is interested. This would include all the props and the rights to the USPSA club charter. If you or anyone you know is interesting that starting a club at your home range, please contact Tom directly.

Once a final decision has been made on the future of the Swamp Eagles, we’ll be sure to let everyone know. But, effective June 2016, the Swamp Eagles will not shoot.

BPSA April 2016 Multi-Discipline Pistol Results

We had 61 shooters come out today for the Multi-Discipline pistol match, and by the feedback we received it was a huge success.  We had great weather, aside from some high winds, and some seriously challenging Pro-Am style steel stages.

Overall, the mix of USPSA, Pro-Am, and Steel Challenge stages seemed to be a nice change from normal, and provided a different set of unique challenges on each stage.  You really had to be on the front sight (or dot) today to do well.

Congrats to Corey Yates on winning Open, Gerwin Henn winning Limited, and Jason Welch winning Production.

Full results are available here: RESULTS

Another congratulations to Terry Yu for winning the Reloading package, consisting of a Dillon 550 from Tom Duchmann at Action Shooting Supply, a $200 Black Bullets gift cert from Chandler LaFrain at BBI, $200 gift cert for reloading supplies from Southern Reloading Supply courtesy of Randy Brownlee, and a free membership to Coast Rifle and Pistol Club courtesy of CRPC.

Also want to thank Michael Morgan for bringing the Precision Tactical t-shirts and the coupons.

And last but certainly not least, a huge thanks to the setup crew, without whom this or any BPSA match would not be possible:  Gerwin Henn, Roger Henn, Chris Davis, Sandi Davis, Gerald Forbes, Lee Fraiser, Joe Borgstede, Nick Jamerson, and Kyle Watkins.

We’ll be doing it again soon!
