South Mississippi Practical Shooting

Are you interested in shooting the 2023 Open/PCC Nationals match in Talladega, AL? The match dates are September 8-10, 2023. The Mississippi Section will receive a small number of slots has received 3 slots for this match and they will be awarded to shooters who are members of the Mississippi Section who competed in local MS matches in 2022 or out of state residents who also supported our local matches last year.

To request a slot, click the REGISTER button below. This will let you register on Practiscore to request a slot. Registering is free, but it does not guarantee you will get a slot. You also have to pay for the match, even with a slot code. And, even if you do not get a slot code, you will still be able to register for the actual match starting May 26, 2023 at 7:00 pm EST when general registration starts.

You can request one slot for this match. The only divisions recognized in this match will be Open and PCC. No other divisions will be recognized in this match and no shooter will be allowed to shoot more than one division. When you request a slot, it is for the match, not for a specific division. You may use the slot for either division, but you will have to choose the division when you register for the real match on Practiscore.

The request period will open at 5 PM on February 25, 2023 and close at 5 PM on March 31, 2023. Shortly after that, the codes will be awarded based on the Section bylaws. If you request and receive a slot, it must either be used by you or returned to the Section. It cannot be transferred to anyone else, even someone in our Section. Important Dates:

February 25, 2023 – Requests for Mississippi Section slots for the Open/PCC Nationals begins

March 31, 2023 – Request period ends

April 6, 2023 – Slots awarded to shooters (no later than date)

April 7, 2023 – Registration for the matches begins at 7:00 PM EST for slot code recipients

September 8, 2023 – Open/PCC Nationals match starts
