South Mississippi Practical Shooting

Are you interested in shooting the 2022 Carry Optics Nationals in Talladega, Alabama? The match dates are Sept. 9-11, 2022. The Mississippi Section will get some number of slots for this match and they will be awarded to shooters who are members of the Mississippi Section who competed in local MS matches in 2021 or out of state residents who also supported our local matches last year.

To request a slot, click the REGISTER button below. This will let you register on Practiscore to request a slot. Registering is free, but it does not guarantee you will get a slot. You also have to pay for the match, even with a slot code. And, even if you do not get a slot code, you will still be able to register for the actual match starting April 15, 2022 when general registration starts.

You can request one slot for this match in Carry Optics. No other divisions will be recognized in this match.

The request period will open at 5 PM on January 30, 2022 and close at 5 PM on March 8, 2022. Shortly after that, the codes will be awarded based on the Section bylaws. If you request and receive a slot, it must either be used by you or returned to the Section. It cannot be transferred to anyone else, even someone in our Section. Important Dates:

January 30, 2022 – Requests for Mississippi Section slots for Carry Optics Nationals begins

March 8, 2022 – Request period ends

March 10, 2022 – Slots awarded to shooters (no later than date)

March 11, 2022 – Registration for the matches begins at 8:00 PM EST for slot code recipients

September 9, 2022 – Carry Optics Nationals match starts
