South Mississippi Practical Shooting

Are you interested in shooting the 2020 Factory Gun (Production and Carry Optics) or Race Gun (Limited and Open) Nationals in Frostproof, Florida? The match dates are Oct. 18-20, 2020 for the Factory Gun match and Oct. 23-25 for the Race Gun match. The Mississippi Section has been given a small number of slots for these matches and they will be awarded to shooters who are members of the Mississippi Section who competed in local MS matches or out of state residents who also support our state matches.

To request a slot, click the REGISTER button below. This will let you register on Practiscore to get a slot. Registering is free, but it does not guarantee you will get a slot. You also have to pay for the match, even with a slot code. And, even if you do not get a slot code, you will still be able to register for the actual match during open registration in 2020.

You can request one slot for both matches but you may not request two slots for one match. For example, this means you can only shoot Open OR Limited, but not both.

The request period will be open until 5 PM on June 1, 2020. Shortly after that, the codes will be awarded based on the Section bylaws. If you request and receive a slot, it must either be used by you or returned to the Section. It cannot be transferred to anyone else, even someone in our Section. Important Dates:

April 3, 2020 – Requests for Mississippi Section slots for Factory and Race Gun Nationals begins

June 1, 2020 – Request period ends

June 4, 2020 – Slots awarded to shooters (no later than date)

June 5, 2020 – Registration for the matches begins for slot code recipients

July 31, 2020 – Registration ends for slot codes.

August 1, 2020 – General registration for matches begins, no slot code required

October 18, 2020 – Factory Gun match starts

October 23, 202 – Race Gun match starts
