July 2018 Biloxi (DSSA) pistol match results *Correction*

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any hotter, it did. Today was brutal. If you stayed home, you did miss some great stages, but it was not pleasant shooting. A total of 54 shooters tried to beat the heat with blazing times and all alphas, but it was a challenge.

Your old stats guy seemed to be a bit challenged today and we had some minor scoring issues at the start of the match, but once we edited the stages, it seemed to run OK. The scores came in and the final results revealed a rare weekend sweep.

Congratulations to Bryan Tullos, who took his second match of the weekend today. Yesterday, Bryan won in Hattiesburg, and he repeated with a win in Overall and Open in Biloxi today. His win was close, by less than 0.5%, but he won nevertheless. Our new GM, Gerwin Henn, took the Limited title, while Sam Conway turned in a great performance to take Single Stack while shooting Minor. Brothers Bryce and Blayne Dupuy took Production and Carry Optics respectively Bryce Dupuy won Production, with Max Michel, Sr. taking Carry Optics and Don Abares won in PCC. Congratulations to everyone who just managed to survive the heat today to complete the match.

After bitching a bit last match, the trash situation seemed to be a lot better today. The squads also seemed to get along with business better and we finished more or less together as squads go. Thank you to everyone for coming out on such a hot day and for helping make this another great match.

Next week, the club in Poplarville will be shooting their makeup match for the match that was rained out earlier this month. If you are interested in shooting, here is the Practiscore registration link.
