December2016 Poplarville pistol match results

Dawson PrecisionThe crispness of the early morning gave way to a spectacular day, and 30 shooters were rewarded with a great match. With six stages and over 150 shots, it made for a challenging, but fun match. Between the gully stage and the fixed time steel monster stage, there was something for everyone.

The results were really never in question, with John Nguyen taking the overall match and Open division win by a 5.6%. Limited went to Steve Tannetta, who finished third overall and beat a flock of Open shooters. Dave Pape managed a respectable 7th overall by winning L10. He will be glad to get his Limited gun back, especially for days like this. Nick Saucier returned from a shooting hiatus to take Single Stack, while Charles Alexander took PCC, and Jamie Humphrey took Production.

Thank you to everyone for the help in getting everything packed up to go. We hope you enjoyed the match today. This is the last match of 2016 and the officers of the South Mississippi Practical Shooting Association appreciate the support we received this year. This was our best year in a very, very long time in terms of participation.
