September 2016 Poplarville 3-Gun match results
Today’s match was a great way to celebrate the Labor Day weekend! We had a good turnout considering the holiday, with 14 shooters making the trip. We set up 4 challenging, but relatively short stages that allowed us to finish, pack up and be on the way home before Noon. It ended up being pretty hot and humid by the end of the match so being done sooner rather than later was a good thing.
Our winner today was Justin Myers with an consistently good overall performance. He won two stages outright and was 0.09 seconds behind on another. Even a no-shoot on the last stage wasn’t enough to keep him from yet another top podium finish. Jason Welch was a close second, edging out Will Mullendore by just 0.1%.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who shot today, and also for helping pick up everything so quickly. Now, take time to enjoy your hard-earned day off!
And finally, next week’s USPSA pistol match in Poplarville has been postponed by one week. It will be shot on Sept. 18th, instead of Sept. 11th.
