February 2014 Poplarville pistol match results
We seem to be on a roll. Once again, the weather not only cooperated, it was downright pleasant. The range and road were in good shape, we broke in some new props today, and we had a good turnout, with 20 shooters in all six recognized divisions of USPSA.
When the scores were finally tallied, normalcy had returned to the Poplarville shooting world. Our match winner was…Max Michel, who also won Open. Last month, Max shot Production and actually was NOT the match winner, but with the dot gun back in the holster today, he showed the rest of the field why he has that Master classification. Limited was won by Steven Mosher, Production by Bryant Willett, Limited 10 by Nate Taylor, Single Stack by Gerald Patch who rebounded from an unfortunate DQ yesterday. Last but not least was Gerald Benton posting the high score back in Revolver.
We had one brand new shooter today and it was reported that she did great. The match staff wants to thank everyone who was able to help with the match setup, the tear-down, or both. It’s great having a turnout like we did today. We have plans for more new props to make the shooting even better this year. Let you friends know what they missed and drag them out next month. The shooting was over by 12:15 PM and we were rolling out by 1 or so.
