South Mississippi Practical Shooting

Today was an interesting match. We had 9 brand new shooters today, which is much more than normal, and no one got DQ’ed or accidentally shot, which is good. Quite a few regulars shot different guns than they normally do, and the results mostly don’t look normal. But, other than that, it was just a typical day in Pearlington. The weather was very pleasant, the shooting was great and Tom was still having a fine time vacationing in Mexico. 

The top of the leader board isn’t much of a surprise, but several divisions are sporting first time winners. The overall match winner and Open winner was Max Michel, which isn’t too unusual. However, in Limited, we had a first time winner when Clayton Patterson beat the Limited Master shooters by shooting more consistently than anyone else. In Production, Ken Hablitzel won his first Pearlington match and Nick Saucier won his first Single Stack match, too.

Thank you to all the new shooters for coming out. Hopefully, we will see you again in the near future. Your match staff thanks everyone for helping pick everything up today. Things just seemed to go smoothly all day long.
