March 2020 Poplarville pistol match results

Dawson PrecisionToday, everything worked out. The weather cooperated, the range was in good shape, and the stages were fantastic! The 32 shooters who lost an hour to Daylight Saving Time last night gained that and more in a super-fun match. The match pace was good, and even though we started 30 minutes later than normal, due to the change in time, we still finished in less than 3 hours. There wasn’t too much to load back in the truck so we were on the way well before 1 PM.

There were several high hit factor stages up for grabs because sometimes, it’s

just fun to go fast and hose. And hosing we did. Today the title of King Hoser went to John Nguyen, who was first overall and first Open. His three stage wins led the way, with the other two stage wins going to two different Carry Optics shooters. The Carry Optics crown went to Blayne Dupuy who was just slightly more than 2% behind John overall. First Limited went to Jason Welch while Bryce Dupuy took first in Production. And finally, Steve Tannetta took the win in Single Stack.

Once again, your match staff thanks everyone for helping get everything taken down and put up in record time. It’s nice to get home to enjoy the extra hour of daylight!
